Hiking in the Hirzer region is a definite to-do when on holidays in Scena/Schenna. Here you find idyllic alpine trails with inviting huts and hearty South Tyrolean home cooking, high-alpine tours to the Hirzer summit and a lot more; hiking in the Hirzer region offers something for every taste. With the Hirzer cable car you reach the Klammeben mountain station at 1,980 metres in only few minutes. We especially recommend you to take a hiking tour in early summer. At the end of June and the beginning of July the Alpine roses blossom and the mountain meadows are covered in a bright shade of red and pink. But hiking or Nordic walking in the Hirzer region are not the only leisure-time activities in this picturesque land of mountains; also mountain biking and paragliding are possible in these latitudes. You can reach the Hirzer cable car in Saltaus in Val Passiria/Passeiertal in about 15 minutes’ drive from our hotel in Scena/Schenna; the opening times are from the beginning of April until the beginning of November.
